I love a good cozy sweater, one that’s soft and warm yet pretty at the same time. Lately I’ve been crushing on fair isle print and this cream and pale pastel sweater has quickly become a weekend favourite! I love the soft colours and worn with my favourite jeans and cute flats makes for the perfect weekend outfit. I paired my sweater with a gorgeous druzy necklace from Lucy Mint, an amazing boutique I recently discovered! The owner and designer, Elissa, is the sweetest person I’ve ever met and every item in her shop is prettier than the last! I’m totally dreaming of this delicate freshwater pearl necklace and her gorgeous wire wrapped rings! My winter wardrobe can be summed up in one word: monochrome. I’ve talked before about my love for black and gray, most recently during my feature on Sarah Mulder Jewelry, but I think there’s something so effortless and chic about a woman in shades of black. In fact, I just bought a new blazer, floppy wool hat and suede flats, and you guessed it, they’re all black. I was drawn to this scarf, although not complete black, because of it’s cool fair isle print. Black and white is a classic combo and even though I don’t wear it as often as all black, it’s still one of my favourites.
In the Fall I had the pleasure of working with Sarah Mulder, an incredibly talented local jewelry designer! I was thrilled when Sarah reached out to feature me as part of the Style Stories series on her blog and felt privileged to style a few of her stunning pieces! All of her collections are handcrafted in her Vancouver design studio and each has a unique style. It was so difficult to choose a select number of pieces to style for the shoot as each item is prettier than the last, but after much thought I finally decided on pieces from Sarah’s Adore Collection; the leaf bracelet and earrings have an organic feel that perfectly reflected the time of year and the necklaces have a classic vibe, they’re beautiful and eye catching while still being understated. Be sure to head over to Sarah’s blog to read my full Style Story, where I chat about how I started blogging (on my original blog Pearls & Lace) along with my go to fashion and home decor trends! A huge thank you to Kim of Kim James Photography for the beautiful photos!
